Vocabulary word

1-Deduce Verb guess, decide. From the evidence the detective deduced that the gardener had done it.

2-Circumstance Noun situation. Do not judge his behavior without considering every circumstance.

3-Comment Noun say, talk. His frequent absences gave rise to comment.

4-Compensate Verb make up for. They gave him ten dollars to compensate him for his trouble.

5-Component Noun part. There is a component of the car which is damaged.

6-Considerable Adj large, big, and significant. It cost a considerable amount.

7-Constrain Verb limit, restrict. He was constrained to admit the offence.

8-Contribute Verb add to, give towards. I'd like to contribute stories to a magazine.

9-Consent Noun agree to. He gave his consent to the marriage.

10-Constant Adj unchanging, the same. All conditions during the three experiments were constant.

11-Convene Verb meet, come together. The students were convened in the auditorium.

12-Coordinate Verb Plan, agree, and manage. He sould coordinate his actions with those of his colleagues.

13-Core Noun central, most important. He has the ability to get straight to the core of a problem.

15-Criteria Noun measurements, benchmarks, standards. These criteria are not valid.

17-Demonstrate Verb show, tell, and prove. I want to demonstrate the force of gravity by dropping an object.

19-Dominate Verb lead, excel, be master of. Successful leaders dominate events rather than react to them.

20-Interact Verb to act on each other. He should interact more with his colleagues.

Meeting

Aims of the meeting

The aim of the meeting was to let all group members express their opinions. We wanted to look at the question of gender integration. Is it a good idea? If so, how could we implement it? What might be the problems+ how we could overcome them?

(6) The meeting was opened by Chairman Abdulrahman at 12:25. That was in the class F 52 in block F.
Abdulrahman opened the meeting by saying that boys study with girls. Then he said to sit girls and boys in different places in the same class. Mohsin said he thought they must think and study together. But Mohamed didn't agree with Mohsin and he thought many problems would arise because of the families of the girls. Abdulrahman didn't agree and he said if she comes to the college to study she will study. Mohsin agreed with Abdulrahman that for the future in work they must work together and to pepare them for the future.
Finally Abdulrahman finished the meeting and Mohsin wrote the important points.

I learnt how to do the meeting that I was a Secretary to write the important points in the meeting sheets and what happened in the meeting

Al Munther

I am going to introduce Al Munther. He was born on 31st May 1990 and he is 19 years old. He was born in Abu Dhabi at the Corniche hospital and he also lives in Khalidya. He lives with his family and there are nine persons, two brothers, four sisters, father and mother. They have 3 housemaids and a driver. His father works in ZADCO Company as an engineer. In his free time he likes to go to Abu Dhabi sport club to ride horses and sometimes he goes swimming in the pool. He has visited many countries like Turkey, France and Yemen. He always goes with his family and his parents. One time they went to Paris and they visited the Eiffel Tower. He says it was a nice time they spent in Paris.

His ambition is to be a businessman like his uncle and he would like to open his own business, that is hotels around the world.

His best holiday was when he went to Turkey. That was 2 years ago in 2008 and it was with his family. He went on the rafting trip and it was 3 hours and they had a nice time there.

He thinks the best thing in ADMC is the course work to do projects and he wishes he had done these when he was in the school.

The worst thing in ADMC is the schedule. It has too many classes.
